image via le lovei'm finding it highly amusing listening to all the uk-ians complaining about the heat wave. the other day nic from she's dressing up called 22 degrees celcius a heat wave! *insert hysterical laughter* (no offense intended by the way nic, i think you are delightful! :) ). when it hits 22 around here, i start pulling out the jumpers! which, i admit, could provoke hysterical laughter from those on the other side. (it is exactly 22 degrees here, and it's the fifth day of winter, hehe). if you can wear layers, denim jackets (any denim at all in fact) or pants - it's not hot in my books. actually, if you can comfortably wear clothes at all, it's not hot! summer here means wearing the lightest/shortest/sleeveless silk dress you can find and not moving from in front of the fan whilst simultaneously spraying cold water in your face! suffice to say "summer style tips" are often redundant for us. watch this space for bitching and whinging about the cold when i go to melbourne next month, then you can poke fun at me in revenge!
the more good news section of this blog post is that the love of my life asked me to marry him on wednesday night. i am an engaged woman! and i don't think i've ever been happier :)
no outfit photo today, i'm still in my pajamas! happy friday! and enjoy your weekend x

Hey! You're coming to Melbourne! Where you staying?
It will indeed be cold! I'm not yet acclimatised to Melbourne weather having just moved back here from a stint in northern NSW! Eek!

Congratulations! That's great news.
Also, your idea of hot weather sounds like my idea of hell.
A nice 24-26 degree day is about as far as I can go without feeling like dying. We usually don't get anywhere near that during a Wellington summer though.
honey hope your well.

And re the heatwave, LOL, that's so true about us, mind you, I think anything over 20 degrees can be considered the best weather were going to get here!
